Introduction

I have been a practising podiatrist for over 20 years, I love helping my patients and there is nothing I would rather be doing. I believe there is no greater satisfaction then when someone walks into my office with foot pain and then leaves pain free. After graduating as a Podiatrist, I started my career working for a large sports podiatry practise in Australia where I gained valuable experience in sports podiatry and in the manufacture of orthotics by working in their orthotics laboratory. I returned to New Zealand where I worked for four years as the diabetes Podiatrist for the Dunedin Public Hospital. Following that I continued my post graduate study, and in 2002 graduated from the New Zealand College of Podiatric Surgery (NZCPS) in collaboration with the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, Cleveland. I am registered with the NZ Podiatrists Board, member of the NZ Society of Podiatrists and a member of the New Zealand College of Podiatric Surgery.

I am dedicated to improving patient care through implementation of best practice with over 25 years' experience working in private practice, the Southland and now Otago District Health Board as the diabetic high - risk podiatrist. I am a registered with the NZ podiatrist Board, member of NZ Society of Podiatrists and Wound care society. My career highlight so far was travelling to Samoa to educate and teach diabetic foot care for the National Health Services Samoa. This was with the Multidisciplinary Endocrinology and Vascular Team -Dunedin Hospital, as part of our complex multidisciplinary group. I am delighted to be working at City Podiatry as part of the team.
